MEET KARY HAUCK, DEEDEE BRADY AND JUDY BROGDEN, OWNERS OF YUBA-SUTTER'S FASTEST GROWING MARKETING FIRM

Kary Hauck is Partner at Sapphire Group.  Kary came to Sapphire Group from Political Advantage Consulting, a full-service marketing and political campaign management firm she owned and operated.  She previously served as Director at WAG Media Group, a local marketing and design firm.  Kary is well-versed in  media buys, local grassroots marketing efforts, educational campaign management and public relations.  Kary has a passion for marketing and public relations and cultivated those skills through nearly three decades of community service.

Previously, Kary was the Executive Director of the Yuba-Sutter United Way.  Kary graduated the LEAD Yuba^Sutter Leadership Academy in June, 2007, is the Past-President of the LEAD Yuba^Sutter Steering Committee and currently serves as the class advisor for the 2019-2020 LEADership Yuba^Sutter class.  She is a talented copy writer, feels strongly about community involvement and is Vice President of The Black Sails Foundation. She is founder of Back the Badge Yuba-Sutter and helped launch 101 Donations, a new local not-for-profit organization.

Kary is passionate about developing effective marketing strategies for her clients, making them instantly recognizable to their target audience.  With Sapphire Group, she has assembled a team of incredible artists and interactive professionals to meet the needs of each of her customers.

DeeDee Brady is Partner at Sapphire Group.  Most people that know DeeDee Brady, associate her name with the cable television industry.  That’s because she spent over 30 years there, starting as a Customer Service Representative in Bi-City Cable’s retail store, moving into the position of Marketing Director for 5 years and ending as the Area Vice President for Comcast in Northern California.  

 

She learned quickly how to become a great Agent of Change with the 9 different companies that bought and sold the Yuba City location where she was based.  Throughout the years she also led sites and marketed services in Reno, Stockton and Fresno.  During a 4 year hiatus from cable beginning in 2000, she formed a marketing and business consulting company, Creative Solutions, Etc., that provided services in political consulting, strategic marketing, advertising and small business management.  During this time, she also served as the Administrative Director of Marketing and Community Relations for Fremont-Rideout Health Group.  
 

Community service has always been a part of her life as well, holding leadership positions for the Yuba-Sutter United Way, Casa De Esperanza, the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as Chairperson of the Marysville Joint Unified School District Career Technical Education Advisory Board and serves as a Commissioner for the Sutter County Community Action Agency.

Judy Brogden is a Partner at Sapphire Marketing Group. She is passionate about creating and coordinating local events. Judy brings 17 years of experience in event planning, coordination, and implementation through her work in the Fair Industry.  Locally she is known for successfully coordinating the largest annual event in the Yuba Sutter area, serving as CEO of the Yuba-Sutter Fair from 2013-2018. Not only did she successfully manage the 44-acre facility and coordinate the annual Fair, but also oversaw hundreds of other events held on the fairgrounds every year. Those events included the annual Bridal Fair, Home & Garden Show, Cinco De Mayo Festival, large non-profit fundraisers, weddings, rodeo’s, and concerts. As money was cut from State’s budget, Judy took charge as the sponsorship coordinator, social media, marketing, branding, advertising, and website manager.

Previous to her tenure as CEO of the Yuba-Sutter Fair, she served as an Entertainment Coordinator at the California State Fair from 2009 – 2013. Judy was responsible for the marketing, planning, staging, and support of 5 stages for the 17-day run of the Fair. She worked closely with the media department to create effective print media, television, and radio advertisement. 

During her years at the CA State Fair, Judy coordinated of tens of thousands of participants, communicated with stage, lighting, and sound companies for nightly productions which included many big named entertainers. She created new contests and developed special recognition ceremonies. 

Judy comes to Sapphire Group with a strong foundation and successful history in marketing and public relations.  Her attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are the backbone of her effectiveness in managing budgets and meeting deadlines.

In her free time Judy is a member of Soroptimist International, enjoys spending time in her garden and loves spending time with her grandbabies Jenna and Robbie.
